-- 6 language editions of daily news services (English, Spanish,
French, German, Portuguese and Italian)
-- 17 different types of services published each week
-- 20,416 articles published over the past year
-- 2,345 services distributed over the past year
-- over 4,000 documents that can be found on www.zenit.org
-- over 2,500,000 hits per month at www.zenit.org (with over 250,000
sessions per month)
-- 290,000 private subscribers who receive ZENIT by e-mail
-- about 25,000 means of communication worldwide that publish ZENIT
(including radio stations, and diocesan and parish bulletins ...)
-- 300,000 messages that go out every day by e-mail from ZENIT
-- 800,000 e-mail messages that are sent on certain days to our
subscribers
-- 11 servers to manage the Web site and e-mail
-- 155 different distribution lists used to send messages to readers
-- 203 e-mail boxes used by the ZENIT team
-- 41 staff members (including writers, editors, translators and
technicians)
-- 12 nationalities of ZENIT staff members (American, Australian,
Austrian, Belgian, Brazilian, English, French, German, Irish, Italian,
Mexican, Spanish)
-- $1.2 million in our 2005 general annual budget (all languages)
-- $270,000, the amount needed to continue through donations from our
English-speaking private readers (equivalent to 23% of the budget)
-- $3 (U.S.) per year is the cost per person, if $270,000 is divided
among the 90,000 English-speaking private readers
-- 197,000 U.S. dollars, the amount obtained so far in this year's
fund-raising campaign thanks to the generosity of our English-edition
readers
-- 3,960 the number of English-edition readers who to date have signed
up for the annual fund-raising campaign
-- about $50, the average donation received
-- 1,460 the number of $50 donations needed to achieve the goal of this
year's campaign
Can you send one or more of the 1,460 fifty-dollar donations needed to
reach our goal?
ZENIT has no other substantial source of revenue. Without the support
of its readers it can neither exist nor grow.
